He is survived by: his wife Emma Jane Johnson; his children, Stacey Elyse Helaire (Terry), Valerie Meshaun Patterson (Jeffrey) and Matthew Johnson III (Alethea) of Houston; his brothers, Sidney Lee Johnson and Allen Bernard Johnson (Francis); and his mother-in-law Addie L. Dornes. He is also survived by brothers, and a host of relatives and friends.
