He was predeceased by: his parents, Ophelia Alexander and James Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Natasha, Kewana, Joseph, Jr., Joseph and Varney, Jr.; his siblings, Mary, Doris, Mildred, Hilda, Ethel Mae, Lois and James; his uncle William Baker; his grandchildren, Brittany, Mary, Diamond, Bianca, LaShundra, Angelina, Terry, Joshua, Leo Dale, Jr. and Angelo; his siblings-in-law, Clavence, Lasal, Shelia, Belinda, Gerri Ann and Alicia; his daughters-in-law, Frances, Veronica, Tameka and Shameka; his grandchildren-in-law, Kaylin and Shannon Brazille; and his godchildren, Braylon, Randi, Stacie, Secreta and Johnathan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and loving great grandchildren.
