He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Colbert of Crockett; his children, Johnny, Edward "Bubba" Colbert (Nadine) of Crockett and Kelsi Balusek (Austin) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Codee Colbert of New Caney, DonnaJean Colbert of Crockett, Destiny Colbert of Crockett and Daisy Colbert of Crockett; his stepmother Shirley Colbert of Spring; his siblings, Wanda Morgan of Whitney, Margaret Colbert of Humble, Charlie Brown of Groesbeck, Donnie Colbert of Spring, Mike Colbert (Amber) of Huntsville and Bruce Colbert (Bridgett) of Florida; and his nephews, Dennis Kerr of Conroe and Richard "Bubba" Walters of Archibald, Louisiana. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Family will receive visitors Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.
