She was predeceased by: her parent Willis Lenoard; her husband Edgar Lee Ray; her stepsons, Ray of Maryland, Jack "Jackie" Ray and James Smith; her siblings, Sylvester Washington, Maurice Washington, Ted Washington, Doris Washington and Wiley Washington; and her grandmother Dr. Mustansir Vejlani.
She is survived by: her son Sterling Tyrone Maxwell; her stepdaughter Renee Woodard; her grandchildren, Michael Brown, Zannavia Willpitz (Charles), Andrea Dennis (Keith), Sondrea Brown (Jarrod), Tyrone Maxwell (Tasha), Courtney Ransom, Travis Maxwell (AnnMarie), Shawn Maxwell, Michael Jason Ray, Talula Anderson, Kim Evans, Kathy Murray, Brian Maxwell, Glen Morning, Jackie Morning, Cazmyn Ray, Breya Ray and Earll Washington; and her caregiver Nicole McNeal. She is also survived by Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and God Children.
