It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Samuel Gallant (Call, Texas), born in Latexo, Texas, who passed away on January 18, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Samuel Gallant, Sr. and Wessie Bowman Gallant; his sisters, Lorraine Gallant Beard and Jimmie Gallant Spence; and his nephew Paul Allen Beard.

He is survived by: his nieces, Karen Beard Jones (Mike Temple) of Houston and Kristen Spence Turner (Mike) of Manvel, Texas.; and his nephew John Spence (Belinda) of Missouri City. He is also survived by friends, and he cherished his friends and relatives.

In lieu of customary remembrances, donations may be directed to Piney Woods Fine Arts Association, Arts in Education, P.O. Box 1213, Crockett, TX 75835.
