He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wiederhold and Alma Wiederhold (Klagmann); his siblings, Albert (Milady), Lee Roy (Evelyn), Marlin, Wilburn, Ervin (Mildred), Edgar (Ruby), Viola Kissman (Gerhard), Alene Cottrell (James) and Joyce Zwerneman; and his brother-in-law Leroy Zwerneman.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Marie Roemer; his daughters, Gail (Bobby Davis) of Longview, Penny (Vince Neal) of Caldwell and Jill (Scott Smajstrla) of Boerne; his grandchildren, Natalie (Dallas Long) of Longview, Allison (Alan Ford) of Boerne, Ryan Smajstrla (Bria) of New Braunfels and Emily Smajstrla of Boerne; his great grandchildren, Max, Crew Long, Hudson, Lincoln Smajstrla, Jack Ford and Luke Ford; his siblings, J. C. (Dorothy) of Dime Box and Lavern of Georgetown; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Zwerneman of Dime Box and Ruth Wiederhold of Caldwell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Elizabeth Lutheran Church July 3rd Celebration.
