He was predeceased by : his parents, Ella Kocian of Yoakum and Godfrey "Mike" Kocian; and his brother Joseph John Kocian of Yoakum, Texas.. He is survived by : his wife Mary Whitley; his children, Jennifer Kocian of Willis and Timothy Kocian of Caldwell; his grandchildren, Halle, Brody and Kennedy Kocian; and his siblings, Victor Kocian (Dena) of Stafford, Deloris Renger of Halletsville, Virginia Gandy of Athens, Ella Loos (Johnny) of Shiner and Beatrice Flanagan (Mike) of Pearland, Texas.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many personal friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Rosehill Social Club or to Cook's Point Methodist Church.
