He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Ruth Trnka; his brother Jodie Trnka; and his in-laws, John and Tommie Lee Brymer. He is survived by: his son Thomas Edwin Trnka (Bengee); his granddaughters, Kymberlee Trnka of Katy and Kyndall Tonn (Caleb Tonn) of Caldwell; his great grandchild Koleson Layne Tonn; and his caregiver Jason. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Memorial donations may be given in Edwin's name to Caldwell First Assembly of God church – Heart for the House fund.
