He is survived by: his wife Mary Agnes Collerain Alford; his sons, Daniel Lee Alford IV and Michael Bruce Alford (Cindy Alford); his granddaughters, Emily Grace Alford, Autumn Verity Alford and Amity Dulcinea Alford; and his close friend Brooksie Fuchs.
