She was predeceased by : her parents, Zacaries O. Hernandez and Liboria Hernandez (Jimenez). She is survived by : her husband Lucio Mendez; her brothers, Nick, Sam, Cleto and Chebo Hernandez; her son-in-law Gary Hott; her children, Lucio Mendez Jr., Dolores Hott of Caldwell, TX., Sylvia Pitts (Douglas) of Caldwell, TX., Rosemary Rodriguez (Jaime) of Caldwell, TX. and Linda Ford (Charles) of Wheelock, TX.; and her siblings, Jack Hernandez (Dora) of College Station, TX., John Hernandez of Austin, TX. and Angela Vasquez (Albert) of Chriesman, TX.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter also by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and her friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home (530 TX-36, Caldwell, TX 77836). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (500 W Old San Antonio Rd, Caldwell, TX 77836). A burial was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St Mary's Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Cemetery (500 W Old San Antonio Rd, Caldwell, TX 77836).
