He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Ann West and James Leo West; and his sisters, Mildred Annette Kelm and Mildred Nannette West. He is survived by: his significant other Louann West; his children, Danni, McKenzie West, Bailey and Emily Vanderzwart; his grandchildren, Brayden Crist, Harli West-Kelm, Caryland and Dana Smith; his aunts, Mary Falteisek, Linda Park, Sylvia West, Carolyn Paris, Glenda West, Donna West and Honey Bee Morris; his uncle Ben West; his brother-in-law Kenny Kelm; and his nephew Kenny Kelm II. He is also survived by many cousins, family, and friends.
