He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Contreras Sr. and Adelina Garibay Contreras; his parents-in-law, Eugene Sr. and Bertha "Sis" Vavrecka; his brothers, Robert Contreras, Bernard Contreras Jr., Richard Contreras and Michael Contreras; his brother-in-law Eugene Vavrecka Jr.; his brother-in-law Ed Muehsler; and also Cuauhtemoc Reyes (Temo).
He is survived by: his wife Norma Contreras; his daughters, Angela Mendez, Debbie McMinn (Wallace), Regina Contreras, Felicia Reyes, Alicia Muehsler and Amanda Planto (Chris); his grandchildren, Carlos Mendez Jr., Marissa McMinn, Victoria Calderon (Manuel), Eduardo Reyes (Mary), Edwin Muehsler, Amber Muehsler, Zachery Muehsler (Leslie), Emaleigh Muehsler, Bryce Planto, Brynn Planto and Breah Planto; his great grandchildren, Santiago Calderon, Leonardo Reyes, Lorelei Reyes and Nicholai Hendrix; and his sister Diane Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St Paul Lutheran Church - Rehburg North (4450 FM 1948, Burton, TX 77835). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the White Union Cemetery (16636 Sandtown Rd, Carmine, TX 78932).
