He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Albert Wright and Katie Ray Wright (Whitley); his brother Richard Harold Wright; and his sons-in-law, Vernon Dell Heflin and Donnie Ray Bode.
He is survived by: his children, Trisha Ann Bode, Toni Leigh Heflin Mackey (Pat Mackey) and Marty Ray Wright; his wife Shirley Gay Morrison Wright; his grandchildren, Robert Ray Bode, Tonya Douthit, Jerry Dell Heflin (Marlinda Davis), Jordon Renee Heflin, Joseph Eli Bode, Robert James Mackey (Nicole Villafana), Cobylynn Michele Wright (Dustin Sloan) and Cutter Ray Wright; his great grandchildren, Bryce Melvin Bode, Michael Vernon Heflin and Samuel Allen Sloan; and his nephew Joe Ed Wright. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
