He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine "Gerri" Hoover; his parents, Martin Lewis Hoover, Sr. and Bessie Lyda Hoover; his brothers-in-law, Charles Schlather and Harold Dunn; and his son Tony Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, James Curtis "Curt" (Susan), John Andrew "Andy" (Brandi Deanne), Jenifer (Lonnie Harrod), Sonia Hoover Tucker, Vanessa Hoover and Monique Hoover Hart (Bo Hart); his grandchildren, Megan, JC, Branson, Zacharias, Hayden, Orion, Ezekiel, Noah, Zoi, Zeb, Landon, Zeña, Joseph, Gabriella, Zelotes and Zenora; his great grandchildren, Seth and Wesley; his sisters, Faye (Charles Brinkley), Kay Pulliam and Anna (Lewis Arnold); his sisters-in-law, Vivian Hoover and Elaine Hoover; and his family, Sonia, Vanessa and Monique.
