He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tinney of Washington and Nellie Ardena Wilson; his grandson Robert Register; and his brother Jake Tinney. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Gates Tinney; his children, Cathy Westerfield, Edwin Tinney (Nelda Tinney) and Melinda Johnson; and his granddaughters, Wendy Westerfield, Jennifer Schuetz (James Schuetz) and Tamara Tinney. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
