He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Paul Dotson; his brother Wayne Dotson; and his nephews, David Wayne Dotson and Matthew Burt. He is survived by: his parents, Hoyt Dotson and Laura Dotson (Faries); his wife Shirley of Burleson, Texas; his children, Terri Dotson-Vellenger of Burleson, Texas and Rich Dotson (Emily) of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister Deb Simmons (Phil) of Osceola, Texas; his grandchildren, Cole Dotson (Patty), Lauren Guadian (Rey), Nick Dotson, Landon Vellenger and Connor Dotson; and his great grandchild Stephen Rey Guadian. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
