He was predeceased by: his parents, Morman Poat, Sr. and Novella Hernandez Pruitt. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Pruitt of Burleson; his children, Wesley Scott Pruitt of Spokane, Washington and Amy Corine Grafa (Jacob) of Burleson; his grandchildren, Keagen Pruitt, Haley Pruitt, Jensen Grafa and Alexis Grafa; and his siblings, Helen McKnight (Leo), Robert Tellez, Violet Pruitt and June Whitehead (Larry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
