She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Markwardt; her parents, Cynthia Hernandez and Louis Hernandez; and her siblings, Novella Pruitt, Esta Faye Martin, Robert Hernandez and David Hernandez.

She is survived by: her daughter Sandra (James) of Burleson; her grandchildren, Amber (James) of Leach, Amanda McSpadden of Crowley, Robert McSpadden of Burleson, Landyn, Gracie, Gavyn, Paisley, Charlotte, Jay, Karsyn, Adeline and Joanna; and her sister Cynthia Martin of Burleson.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laurel Land Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Land Memorial Park (6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232).
