She was predeceased by: her parents, Esiquio Sanchez and Agustina Sanchez; her husband Antonio "Tony" Mendez, Sr. of Mary's Catholic Church; and her siblings, Lucille Morrison, Jose Sanchez, Cypriana Hernandez, Celso Sanchez, Alicia Sanchez-Gonzales, Fermin Sanchez and Rafael Sanchez.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Manuel Mendez and Antonio "Tony" Mendez Jr. (Dawn); her granddaughters, Catherine Mendez and Miranda Mendez; and her brothers, Panfilio "Paulie" Sanchez (Sharon), Rito Sanchez (Christina) and Celestino Sanchez (Maria).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home (404 W Buck St, Caldwell, TX 77836). A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (500 W Old San Antonio Rd, Caldwell, TX 77836). A burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery (500 W Old San Antonio Rd, Caldwell, TX 77836).
