He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hawthorne and Edna Hawthorne; his siblings, Delmar Hawthorne and Edna Ruth Thornburgh (Mary Lee Hawthorne); his son Wesley Hawthorne; and his grandsons, John Wesley Hunter and Michael Shumar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Zvibleman of Chelsea, Virginia Misciasci of Burleson and Angela Flippo of Minden, Nevada; and his sisters, Leona Carson of Clinton Arkansas and Lynn Hammons of Capay, California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
