He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bowie and Melva Tosh Bowie. He is survived by: his wife Linda Orton of Crowley, TX; his daughters, Marci Wessel (David) of McKinney, TX, Melissa Baize (Justin) of Fort Worth, TX and Lori Aebischer (Chad) of Burleson, TX; his brothers, Gary Bowie of Austin, TX, Keith Bowie (Debra) of Jennings, KS and Dennis Bowie (Penny) of Lawrence, KS; and his grandchildren, Nathanael, Lucas Wessel, Shane, Sadie Baize, Landon, Liana, Lindie and Lilly Aebischer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In July, 2020, he was able to send much needed PPE to Peru because Covid-19 was spreading so quickly and hospital workers needed it desperately.
