He was predeceased by: his parents, Lance and Mary Merritt; and his stepfather Jim Merritt. He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Odom, Sharon Horton and Dustin Merritt; his nephew Eric Lance (Krista); his nieces, Duranda Walentiny (Cody), Candra Faulkner and Krista Odom; his great-nephew Mason Walentiny; and his great-nieces, McKenzee Lance and Sadie Vaughan.
