He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline; his parents, Jewel Smithson and Leora Black; and his sister Dorothy Lambert. He is survived by: his sons, Russell (Somboon) and Brian; his grandchildren, Larissa, Tiffany, Cassie and Colby; his great grandchild Kash; and his sisters, Pat Nix and Jeannette Mingus.
