He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Karner and Esther Karner (Schultz); his wife Berneice Irene Karner (Evers); and his brothers, Selma Karner, Walt (Esther Karner), Roy (Betty Karner) and Franklin (Elisabeth Karner).
He is survived by: his children, Charlene Johnson (Roger), Marlene Johnson (Rodney) and Myron Karner (Joanna); and his granddaughter Monica Johnson. He is also survived by extended family members including numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
