It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Dale Scarth in Burleson, Texas, born in Higgins, Texas, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willard Scarth and Leila Scarth; his wife Helen Johnson Scarth; and his children, Debra Geater (Greg), David Scarth (Ann), Dee Anne Merrill (Richlon) and Danny Scarth (Lucretia). He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Temple Christian School STEM program, or the charity of your choice.

“I am so sorry to see that Dale has passed on to be with our Jesus. I envy him but I know we will all miss his presence here with us. I am Roy W. Hutchinson who grew with Dale here in Booker, TX. I roomed with him at Texas Tech and saw him on liberty in San Francisco. I also had lunch with him while he was President of Texas Electric in Fort Worth. I would like very much to be with you at his "Celebration" on February 13th. Dale was 7 months older than me.”
