She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Shanks, Sr. and Pearl Shanks; her husband Henry "Dick" Dickens, Jr.; and her siblings, Jim Shanks, Harold Shanks and Helen Bledsoe.

She is survived by: her children, Hank and Jan Douglas (Robert); her grandchildren, Tami Thomas (Eric), Justin Douglas, Latham Dickens (Renae), Stacey Snyder (Michael), Devin Dickens and Alyssa DeBonis (Camden); her great grandchildren, Brittany Thomas, Brianne Thomas, Keaton Dickens, Tucker Dickens and Aspen Snyder; and her sister Carolyn Wilson (Dale). She is also survived by three nieces and five nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pathway Church in Burleson.
