With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny Joe Day of Burleson, Texas, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on February 26, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Onnie Laska Day, Arminta Levancie Stark Day, David Johnson Rigdon and Thelma Martin Rigdon; his parents, Aca Ray Day and Mary Magdalene Shelton; his stepparents, Elizabeth Pilcher Day and J. W. Shelton; and his siblings-in-law, Sim Hoover Paine and Charlene Vineta Nowlin Paine.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Kay Paine Day; his children, Rebekah Charline Day and Robert Daniel Day; his siblings, David Ray of Rachel Renee Day Nance, Rachel Renee Day Nance of Rachel Renee Day Nance and Angela Michelle Shelton McKinley of Houston, Texas; and his stepsiblings, Ronnie Dwayne Pilcher, Donna Sue Pilcher Royal of Winona, Texas, Pamela Jo Haynes Lamb of Winona, Texas and Debra Louise Pilcher Blain of Winona, Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his church family and friends.
Because of his love for missions and missionaries, in Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made through the Central Baptist Church Mission's Fund to the "Airplane Fund" for Missionaries Chris & Irene Williams.
