He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen West and Ona West; his brother Ronald West; his sister-in-law Darlene West; his sister Brenda Richardson; and his son David West.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte West; his sons, Ricky West (Ginger) and Shannon West (Mandy); and his sister Barbara Steelman (Ken). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
