He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Davenport and Irene Davenport; his siblings, Curtis, Lendon Davenport and Lillie Belle White; and his grandsons, Sonny Davenport and Christopher Hampton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Davenport; his children, Jeff (Xiao Yen Davenport), Mike Davenport, Vickie Burney, Shauna (Harold Johnston) and Chantay (Barry Hance); his siblings, Claude, Jimmy Davenport, Thelma Gayle Rowell and Nadine Willard; and his friend Moe Barbee. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
