“Somehow this site took the capital letters off my note about waukegan, so i will try again. It gives me a chance to add that i also enjoyed our crazy week in texas in 1963, again with a backyard tent, one bathroom and around sixteen people. I can still hear our moms laughing together in the kitchen. Sweet memory.”

Mary Skoglund wrote a sympathy message

“I am so saddened to hear of the death of your dear mom. She was a kind and generous woman, full of laughter and life and love. I will cherish best the memory when i was an 8 year old on a visit to waukegan with our grandparents & graceann. Aunt betty had her houseful of kids but made room for all of us, setting up a tent in the yard for all the boys, putting on big meals. She welcomed us with open arms. What was hers was ours. What a special woman. My condolences to all. Love, cousin mary”
