He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Y. "Bear" Miller and Henrietta Miller; his sister Glenda Mallet; and his son Steven Cunningham. He is survived by: his sons, Mike Miller (Megan) of Burkeville and Tommy Miller (Jocelyn) of Crosby, Texas; his siblings, Sky Miller (Nelda) of Burkeville, Texas and Susie Belsha of Burkeville, Texas; his brother-in-law Kenny Mallet of Burkeville; and his grandchildren, Cole Miller, Kayla Miller, Karley Miller and Kailey Miller.
