He was predeceased by: his wife Geanatta Hillis Smith; his parent Vella Harvey Smith; his brother Smith, Jr.; his children, Kimble William Smith, Jr. and Janet Cobb; his son-in-law Henry Stephens; and his sister Wanda McGraw.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Smith (Lisa) of Kirbyville, Benny Smith of San Leon and Marie Stephens of Choctaw, Oklahoma; his son-in-law Tony Cobb of Dallas; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Smith and Ennis "Bo". He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and two on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
