She was predeceased by: her parents, D. Y. "Bear" Miller and Henrietta Miller; and her children, Veretta Brown and Dustin Canter. She is survived by: her husband Kenny Mallet of Burkeville, Texas; her son John Brown, Jr. of Lumberton, Texas; and her siblings, Sam Miller of Burkeville, Sky Miller (Nelda) of Burkeville, Texas and Susie Belsha of Burkeville, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
