He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Sykes (Shaw) and T. J. Sykes; and his brother Dee Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Sykes; his children, Rickey Sykes and Sharla Sykes; his sister Wynonah Randall; and his grandchildren, Jayme Sykes, Derek and Chad Sykes. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
