He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Corine and Horace Marvin Hallgarth; and his siblings, Frank Hallgarth, Dolores Lundberg and Joe Hallgarth.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Dr. Matthew Hallgarth (Leslie) of Stephenville, Dr. Amy Plummer (Jeffrey) of Houston and Michael Hallgarth (Kristi) of Houston, Texas.; his grandchildren, Benjamin Hallgarth (Ashleigh), Emily Grace Hallgarth of Stephenville, Gale Helgarth (Kevin Helmers), Dr. Kathryn Plummer of Houston, Alexandra Plummer of Houston, Raymond Hallgarth and Caleb Hallgarth of Houston Texas; and his great grandchildren, Adaline and Lilly Hallgarth.
