He was predeceased by: his stepchildren, Reymundo Castro, Bertha Covarrubias and Sylvia Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Peterson; his stepson John Castro (Rosalinda); and his grandchildren, Vivian Covarrubias-Shay, Kathleen Avello-Covarrubias, Ray Covarrubias, Vaughnie Reed-Baker, Lanette Castro, Angelique Sherman, Ereina Castro, Inez Booher, Roxeanne Mesa, Adam Mesa, Ryan Castro and Melina Castro. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren who loved him very much; and four children.
