It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Burden of Burkburnett, Texas, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Cecil and William Cecil; his brothers, William Cecil "PeeWee" Burden Jr. (Eula Faye) and Perry; and his son-in-law Wally Derleth.
He is survived by: his wife Eula Faye Lowe; his close friend Joyce Heptner; his children, James Micheal Burden of Burkburnett, Beverly Burden and Christina Fountain of Burkburnett; his grandchildren, James "Micheal" Burden Jr. (Sue) of Burkburnett, Katie Fairbanks (Walter) of Cisco, TX and Hannah Bachert (Connor) of Burkburnett; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Tyler Burden, Caleb, Hatchet Fairbanks, Sabrina Rodriguez (Josh), Dealani Fishbeck and Brooks Bachert.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home (1122 Sheppard Rd, Burkburnett, TX 76354). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery (920 Bishop Rd, Burkburnett, TX 76354).
