She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ira Leslie Cobb and Annie Mae Reed Cobb; her husband Virgil Popejoy; and her children, Dennis Cotton, Jeffery Popejoy, Ivy Poe of Shawnee, Oklahoma and David Cotton of Atlanta, Georgia.. She was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
