It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores Garibay Peterson of Burkburnett, Texas, born in Mesquite, New Mexico, who passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Domitila Garibay and Juan Francisco Garibay; her children, Bertha Covarrubias, John F Castro, Sylvia Kelly and Reymundo Castro; and her granddaughters, Ryanne and Vivian Shay.
She is survived by: her former husband Jose Castro; her husband John McFarlane; her grandchildren, Ray Covarrubias (Vera), Vaughnie Baker (Rocky), Inez Booher, Kathleen Covarrubias, Roxeanne Mesa, Adam Mesa, Sr., Lanette Castro, Angelique Sherman (George), Ereina Castro, Ryan Castro (Chelsea) and Melina Stolk (Jason); her great grandchildren, Anthony Ray Covarrubias, Kassie Snow, Cameron Castro, Vincent, Joshua, Kennon Reed, Paige Baker, Jessica, Orville, Adam, Cierra Mesa, Ross Castro, Aaron, Deyshn Lambert and Jessalyn Castro; and her daughter-in-law Rosalinda Castro. She is also survived by 14 great great grandchildren.
