Charles Green Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Green (Burkburnett, Texas), born in Paris, Texas, who passed away on November 18, 2018 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He firmly believed that "Children are our greatest asset. He assisted with Special Olympics for many years, as well as Christmas in Action, hog hunts in Truscott, and countless fundraiser feeds, with Raymond Nipper and others. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge, Roustabouts, and the Redneck Culinary Academy. Doug also started a fund for Cook's Children's Hospital in honor of Sheridan Jones, and worked tirelessly with the ARC fundraisers. He is best known for helping Santa Claus, attending events every year for him. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Becky Williams, and Gay Smith. He is survived by his wife, Glenda of Burkburnett; sons Wayland Green and fiancé Kenda Johnson of Wichita Falls, and Brian Green and wife Amanda of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Georgia, Maggie, Lilli, Kaine, Cassie, and Tyler; sister Sue Ross and husband Rusty of Paris; brothers Jim Green and Greg Green of Paris; brother-in-law Rocky Wiliams of Paris; sister-in-law Beverly Stockton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as aunts Sonja Austin and Nell Sessions. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, and request memorial donations be made in Doug's name to the Children's Aid Society of West Texas, 1101 30th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302.
