He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe Leon Shepherd Sr. and Carol Sue Shepherd (Easley); and his siblings, Billy Joe Leon Shepherd Jr., Nancy Sue King and Jessye Dawn Dyson.
He is survived by: his wife Tanya Shepherd; his daughter Kellie Shepherd of Buna; his stepsons, DeWayne Sisco (Brooke) of Buna and Wesley Sisco (Victoria) of Buna; his grandchildren, Johnathan Jackson and Loveda Jackson; and his sisters, Joan Denise Robertson (Terry) of Porter and Carol Ann Fregia (Richard) of Honey Island. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
