He is survived by: his children, Elijah Bertrand of Nederland and Christina Shaw of Nederland; his father Joseph W. Shaw of Buna; his siblings, Joseph W. Shaw, II of Ivanhoe and Barbara Dena Cornett of Victoria; and his granddaughter Penelope Grace. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
