He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Mireles and Carmen Mireles; and his brother Joaquin Mireles. He is survived by: his wife Janie Mireles; his children, Monica Rangel (David), Alexandro Mireles (Sara) and Raquel Muñiz (Josh); and his grandchildren, Enrique, Isabel, Emma and Ezra.

Instead of floral remembrances, the family suggests that donations can be made to St. Joseph's Honey Creek Church to honor Deacon Freddy's memory.
