He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Aubrey and Rose Ellen Cooper Williams; his sister Martha; and his son-in-law Kris Johannsen. He is survived by: his wife Dena; his children, Shirley Williams Johannsen and Ira Glen Williams; his grandchildren, Angela, Melody and Matthew Johannsen; his former wife Judy Williams; his stepchildren, Vanessa (Louis Magness) and Joey Cass; his grandson James Curtis Magness (Shannon); and his great grandchildren, Landon and Olivia.

“It is with the greatest of regret that we learned of Robert's passing. He was a great neighbor and was always there to help my in-laws, Tommy and Maxine Young. He reminded some people of the country singer, Don Williams, with his old hat and guitar and his singing. He was always a pleasure to be around and talk to and will be greatly missed.
