He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Berry Whitecotton and Eva Houchins Whitecotton; and his siblings, Levert Whitecotton, Darnell Whitecotton, Edwin Whitecotton, Erbie Whitecotton, Allene Brittain and Doralynn Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Ballard Whitecotton; his children, Danny Whitecotton (Martha) of Charlotte, NC, Gary Whitecotton (Annette) of Charlotte, NC and Leah Barton (Brad) of Tyler, TX; his grandchildren, Bridgett Kirschbaum (Aaron), Brandie Halsell (Matt), Aaron Whitecotton (Heather), Nicole Dyck (Pete), Mandy Whitecotton, Lauren Whitecotton (Chris), Blain Barton, Hannah Plyler and Laura Barton; and his brother Darvin Whitecotton of Hastings, OK.. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
