Keith Newburn Obituary

Services for Gary Keith Newburn, of Bullard, are postponed until next week. Keith passed away on August 28, 2021. He was born in Jacksonville, Texas on March 15, 1962 to Gary Pat Newburn and Veleda (Harris) Newburn. Keith was a Fire Chief in Bullard for over 20 years. Known as a jack of all trades, he enjoyed heavy equipment and dirt work.

He also enjoyed auto repair and was a talented mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a brother, Scott Newburn. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Betty Newburn of Bullard; his children, Tisha Newburn and Brett of Mt. Selman, Patrick Newburn and Julie of Tyler, Gary Newburn, and wife Lindsey, Brian Newburn and Amy, Heather Newburn all of Bullard, brother Jamie Newburn of Jacksonville, beloved aunt Judy Costlow of Palestine, and uncle Mike Newburn of Tyler.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Gary Simmons, Richard Smith, Ken Boatman, Alan Jones, Jonathan Fallwell, and Stephen Driskell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Smith County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Bullard Volunteer Fire Department, and longtime friends and coworkers of Reynolds & Kay.
