He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Nelson, Sr. and Myrtle Nelson (Doolittle); his wife Mary Ann Yates; his son Wayne Nelson; and his brother Jim Nelson.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny (Debbie Nelson) and Robert Clark (Kelly Nelson); his grandchildren, Nicole Nelson, Felicia Arpoika, John W. Nelson, III and Anna Nelson; and his nephew Scott Nelson (Angie). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
