He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Byrd and Evelyn Byrd (Glover); and his sister Katherine Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Patty Sue Byrd; his sons, James E. Byrd of Tyler and Anthony Byrd (Cynthia) of Price; his grandchildren, Sarah Ann Strayhan (Dakota) of Shreveport, Margaret Karahline Byrd of Tyler, Kelsey Stokes (Cullen) of Henderson and Kyle Byrd (Madison Hampton) of Price; his great grandchildren, Aria Rose Strayhan, Jackson Strayhan, Leighton Stokes and Lawson Stokes; his sisters, Carla Byrd of Jacksonville and Janet Blakeney (David) of Jacksonville; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Teague of Henderson and Melinda Alewine of Price; his nephews, Danny Green of Jacksonville, William Morgan of Conroe, David Byrd of Palestine and Brandon Teague of Austin; and his niece Bethany Byrd of Houston. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends.
