He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wilson and Maddie Gaston Wilson; and his siblings, Richard, Dot and Nita.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, John Wilson, Cindy [Gary] Hartsfield and Mary [Charlie] Bare; his niece Kim [Mark] Nash; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kennedy and Cayden; and his siblings, Charlotte and John. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
