He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim B. "JB" Pate and Lourene Pate (Bain); his wife Florence Pate; and his brother Alfred Pate. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Stephenson of Humble, Verna Krottinger (Jesse) of Houston, Penny Milam (Ricky) of Palacios, Anthony Pate (Denise) of Houston, Rebecca Stokes of Buffalo and Jimmy Pate (Vickie) of Kosse; and his grandchildren, Shane, Ricky, Amanda, Angela, Jeffery, Stephen, Brian, Allen, Zach, Miki, Michael, Candace and Stephanie. He is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
